Accenture marks a year of growth.

Oct. 4--Accenture, a global management, technology and outsourcing company, celebrated its first year in San Antonio with twice as many employees here as originally announced.

The company has 700 people locally, and it plans to hire more. It said it would hire 350 when it announced in June 2006 that it was coming to San Antonio.

"San Antonio has a good work force; it's a great place to do business; and it's easy for people to live and work here and come to," said Phyllis Gallay, head of Accenture's new $7.5 million global delivery center.
