The World's Fair in San Antonio redefined this city through new hotels and public buildings that spawned the convention industry and provided the San Antonio Spurs their first home.

Numerous North American entrepreneurs came to be part of the fair and stayed, rejuvenating the business community with their knowledge and talent. The River Walk leapt to life and has not slowed down since. The Tower of the Americas gave San Antonio a distinguishing skyline image.
