Oct. 2--"Law & Order" creator Dick Wolf is taking a major departure from his crime-procedural roots, backing the development of a CGI-heavy series based on the Johnny Dynamite comic-book character.
Wolf is working with writer J.H. Wyman ("Keen Eddie," "The Mexican") and "Disturbia" director D.J. Caruso on the project. Though it's not attached to a network yet, it will be produced by Universal Media Studios, Wolf's long-time studio home, Variety reports.
