CLEARWATER, Fla., May 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Eckerd Corporation (NYSE: ECK) today announced the promotions of Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Samuel G. Wright to Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, and Senior Vice President Administration and Corporate Secretary James M. Santo to Executive Vice President Administration and Corporate Secretary. The company also announced the promotion of Julie Gardner to Vice President Advertising/Marketing.

The announcements came at the close of today's Board of Directors Meeting and company Annual Meeting held at Eckerd corporate offices in Clearwater.
