Fort Smith Nursing Home Operator Buys Three Firms, Spins Off Subsidiary
Beverly Enterprises Inc. has been on a buying spree in the last year that is solidifying its position as the country's largest nursing home operator.
Fort Smith-based Beverly has acquired: American Transitional Hospitals Inc. of Franklin, Tenn.; Insta-Care Pharmacy Services of Tampa, Fla.; and three subsidiaries of Synetic Inc. of Montvale, N.J. By the end of May, Beverly also plans to close on the $148.5 million purchase of Pharmacy Management Services Inc. of Tampa.
