COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., May 11 /PRNewswire/ -- American Telecasting Inc. (Nasdaq: ATEL) announced today that it completed the acquisition of Fresno Wireless Cable Television Inc., a 65 percent owner of Fresno MMDS Associates, a partnership which owns the wireless cable television systems serving Fresno, Visalia and Merced, Calif. Presently these systems serve 14,200 subscribers in a service area of 509,000 homes. Total consideration for the stock of Fresno Wireless Cable Television Inc. was 964,100 common shares of ATEL stock. In addition, Fresno Wireless Cable Television Inc. has current liabilities of $1.5 million and Fresno MMDS Associates has $7.2 million in bank debt ...
