NEW YORK -- Folks here don't know Harvey Ball from basketball, but they know his smiley face. It's the same way with another one of Worcester's favorite sons, Jose Antonio Rivera.
They may not know him by name, but they definitely know his work.
One of the most anonymous three-time world champion boxers in history, Rivera unceremoniously ended his 15-year pro career by getting knocked out by Daniel Santos of Puerto Rico in the eighth round of their WBA super welterweight eliminator bout last night at historic Madison Square Garden.
