Select & Save is set to sue Bargain Booze over alleged similarities between its own c-store offering and a new concept developed by the off-licence specialist.

Select & Save joint managing director Steve Jones said he was taking action against Bargain Booze, claiming passing off.

The matter is centred around the new Bargain Booze Select Convenience offer, which Jones claims is too close to a new corporate image that former Select & Save director Mark Crabtree was working on before leaving to join Bargain Booze earlier this year.
