Oct. 4--CEDAR RAPIDS -- A third generation of family ownership has assumed management of Iowa's oldest continuously operated beauty salon and has relocated and added new services for customers.

Jeffrey Scott Abraham, grandson of founder Mabel "Mabeline" Nassif Abraham, has renamed the former Mabeline's Hair Styling and Wig Salon and moved it to a new location on Mount Vernon Road SE.

Jeffrey Scott Salon and Mabeline Wig Co. is located in a relatively new building at 3136 Mount Vernon Rd. SE. The 82-year-old business moved two months ago from 2323 Mount Vernon Rd. SE, its third location since Nassif Abraham opened a salon in 1925.
