Oct. 6--Gerry Novoa sells clothes, not cappuccino, but his business was suffering from the same water woes that shut four Starbucks and sent West Palm Beach restaurateurs scrambling for bottled water and untainted ice.
Novoa, who owns Rhythm Clothiers at CityPlace, said Friday he blamed West Palm Beach's eight-day boil-water order for a decline in shoppers.
While daytime traffic at his boutique had held steady, the number of nighttime shoppers at Rhythm had fallen at least 25 percent since city officials discovered Sept. 28 that West Palm Beach's water supply was contaminated with fecal matter.
