Oct. 6--PROVIDENCE -- Sen. Paul Moura, D-East Providence, says he will introduce legislation to allow 24-hour gambling at Twin River and Newport Grand, Rhode Island's two licensed slot parlors, when the General Assembly reconvenes for a special session, possibly later this month.
He said the bill was necessary now that Massachusetts Governor Patrick has proposed licensing three resort-style casinos in his state. That proposal still needs approval by the Massachusetts legislature.
