Oct. 7--Two million minutes.

It's the amount of time that passes from the moment a kid enters high school to the moment he or she graduates.

What happens to those kids in between is what worries Bob Compton. His hour-long documentary on the subject should make us all stop and think. The film, "2 Million Minutes," was made with two veterans of the "Frontline" series. It follows six kids -- two in Carmel, two in Bangalore, India, and two in Shanghai, China. The kids are all smart and full of optimism.
