Oct. 8--ANSONIA -- Five people have been named by Mayor Jim Della Volpe to serve on the board for the city's first Energy Improvement District.

The panel that will oversee the creation and startup of an intra-city micro-grid providing cheap electricity to local businesses.

Nominated to the EID panel are Alderman Stephen Blume, Ansonia Housing Authority Executive Director Jim Finnucan, Healey Ford owner Michael Healey, and Francis Tyszka and James Prestiano, both members of the Ansonia Development Commission.
