Oct. 8--MILFORD -- The city will not oppose the application of the Iroquois Gas Transmission Co. to build a more than $30 million compression station here, officials said.
The deadline for affected towns to file objections to the multi-phase project, which also includes a new compression station in Brookfield, is Friday. The Connecticut Siting Council is holding hearings on the potential environmental impacts of the new facilities; the need for them will be determined by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission in a separate process.
