Oct. 8--A few Saturdays ago, I took my grandson, Justin, 9, to Headquarters BarberShop on the Boston Post Road in West Haven for a haircut and brought my granddaughter and grandson, Jacob, along, too. When we walked in, I was surprised at how crowded it was. There had to be at least 15 to 18 guys waiting for haircuts, from adults and teenagers to toddlers. But there were no females other than my granddaughter Tianna, 6, and I.
