Radiation therapy is a technology-driven field, and it is important that students have both current and comprehensive tools with which to train. One way to widely distribute such tools is through the Internet. However, few venues have computer-based medical dosimetry teaching tools for radiation therapy educators and radiation therapy students. The purpose of this study was to determine the need for a computer-based clinical dosimetry teaching tool. A survey was mailed to all radiation therapy program directors of Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology RCERT)-accredited programs in the United States.
