A victim of the booming Manhattan real-estate market, the Marie Walsh Sharpe Art Foundation was recently forced to relocate its Space Program from Tribeca, where it had been for 16 years, to the Dumbo section of Brooklyn. Its Tribeca building was sold and is being converted to condos and a hotel complex. The program provides free studio space, as well as critical visibility, to 14 artists per year.
