ARLINGTON, Va. -- EADS North America's capabilities for the U.S. Army in helicopters, mobile medical care, aerial targets and total life system management are being showcased at this week's Association of the U.S. Army (AUSA) 2007 annual convention in Washington, D.C.
The company is a key supplier to the military service, providing UH-72A Lakota Light Utility helicopters to modernize the Army's rotary-wing fleet in an acquisition of up to 322 aircraft. EADS North America won the UH-72A contract in June 2005, and has provided the initial 12 Lakotas for use in Army medical evacuation, transport and support operations.
