This morning, EnerDel, which is based on the Northside, will unveil its lithium ion battery pack for hybrids. This battery pack will deliver more energy and recharge more quickly, expanding the range of hybrids.

And up the road in Anderson, Altairnano is working on new chemistry that could make plug-in electric cars a reality sooner than later.
