Oct. 9--CYNTHIA JAN DESIGNS announced that Deseret Book will carry the company's new line of Family Tree Do-It-Yourself (DIY) Kits. The products will be sold in all of the retailer's stores in Utah, Idaho and California, and also on its Web site.

THE 25TH RENDITION of the Wasatch Food and Wine Society's Nouveau Beaujolais Festival will take place Nov. 17 at Deer Valley Resort. The festival will be held in the mid-mountain Silver Lake Lodge from 3 to 6 p.m. Reservations cost $80 and are required by Nov. 1.
