Oct. 9--A 37-year-old Milford man who claimed to be out jogging Friday was actually running from a burglary he was trying to commit, police said.
Joseph Edwards, of Mayflower Place, was held on $25,000 bond after being arraigned in Milford Superior Court Friday. His case was continued to Oct. 26.
Police responded to a burglar alarm at Drill Masters, 366 Boston Post Road, around 4:30 a.m., and spotted Edwards running from the area.
After being stopped for questioning, Edwards claimed he had been out jogging. But police found he had a pair of gloves and a screw driver in his pocket.
