EDITORIAL: Car tax program should continue.(Editorial)

Oct. 9--The boot finder program to collect back car taxes in Bridgeport is effective, efficient and spurring people to pay more attention to money they owe the city.

Naturally, the City Council wants to put a stop to it.

The council's Ordinance Committee last week recommended approval of a resolution to suspend the program, which targets people who owe city car taxes, for 60 days so it can be evaluated and improved. There are some legitimate concerns, but enough good has come from the tactic that it should be continued while the changes are contemplated.
