Historical society asks disabled access.

Oct. 9--MILFORD -- The Milford Historical Society may need a "certificate of appropriateness" from the new South of the Green Historic District for its plan to add handicapped-accessible restrooms, officials said Monday.

The historic district commission, formed in January, is expected to review the society's application when it meets at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Parsons Government Center.

The matter is among the first to come before the new commission, which covers most of Pond, Lafayette, Center, High and Green streets, including the historical society's Wharf Lane complex at the foot of High Street.
