Oct. 9--TEWKSBURY -- With their special town election now only one week away, the three men running for a vacant seat on the Board of Selectmen are looking to a future beyond the ballot box.

Just seven days after the Oct. 16 special election, one of them will be sitting at the selectmen's table in Town Hall and slugging through an issue-laden agenda. One prominent item will be a progress report by CDM on the town's $81 million sewer expansion.

All three candidates agree that the sewer project is a good one in theory. But like many other town officials, they worry about the project's finances.
