Oct. 10--JUNEAU -- A series of weekend heroin busts in Juneau resulted in at least three arrests, Alaska State Troopers said Tuesday.
Southeast Alaska Narcotics Enforcement Team officers on Saturday arrested a Juneau man they say tried to accept nine grams of heroin through the mail, troopers said.
Postal inspectors noticed the suspicious package and intercepted it on its way from Phoenix, and alerted Alaska law enforcement authorities. Tyrone G. Beverly, 20, was arrested for second-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance.
