Luther Forest lawsuit takes step toward trial: Tech park, where AMD plans to build, says former landowner must pay to clean up weapons test site.

Oct. 10--BALLSTON SPA -- A lawsuit brought by Luther Forest Technology Campus against a former landowner that tested military weapons on the site is heading toward trial.

Located in the towns of Malta and Stillwater, Luther Forest is where computer chip manufacturer Advanced Micro Devices Inc. is planning to build a $3.2 billion computer chip factory.

Luther Forest Technology Campus Development Corp., the nonprofit entity that manages the 1,350-acre tech park, filed the lawsuit against Wright-Malta Corp. in 2005 in state Supreme Court in Saratoga County.
