Oct. 10--Delta Air Lines on Tuesday announced new nonstop service to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) beginning Dec. 17.
The additional twice-daily service increases to 13 the number of daily nonstop flights from Tucson to Los Angeles. Delta also currently offers two daily nonstop flights to Atlanta and six daily nonstop flights to Salt Lake City.
Los Angeles is the most popular destination for Tucson travelers, Bonnie Allin, president and CEO of the Tucson Airport Authority, said in a statement welcoming the new flights.
The new flight information:
--Departs Tucson at 7 a.m., arrives in Los Angeles at 7:30 a.m.;
--Departs Tucson at 3:55 p.m., ...
