Oct. 10--An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of workers' compensation insurance. That's the message conveyed by Don Smith, president and CEO of SCF Arizona, the state's largest provider of workers' compensation insurance, covering about 70 percent of the market.
On Tuesday and again today, Smith and company are hosting the annual Safety Works Expo at the Sheraton Tucson Hotel and Suites, an event that began five years ago in the parking lot of SCF Arizona headquarters in Phoenix. Smith sat down for about an hour of Q and A at the beginning of the conference Tuesday.
