Oct. 10--Marion Jones had already lied to federal investigators months before when she stood near the Franklin Field track in April 2004 and laughed at those who had the temerity to question her honesty.

"I'm not surprised at anything I read. I'm not surprised at anything I hear, and you can imagine some of the things I've heard," Jones said at the Penn Relays, rolling her eyes at the reporters asking about the steroid investigation involving the Balco laboratory, and -- what a coincidence! -- her former husband, her former lover, her former trainer, and her former coach.
