Oct. 10--At 5-foot-2, Sunny Suppa used to have to hem every pair of pants she bought.
"Why can't people just buy clothes that fit?" she wondered.
So the aspiring fashion designer came up with a great idea: create a line of clothing for women too petite for the Petites department. But she had no idea -- and no money -- to start a business. She had moved to the United States from Thailand when she was 13 and still had limited English skills.
"I felt overwhelmed," said Suppa, 27. "I didn't know where to start."
