THE FINAL SEASON
Rating: PG for language, thematic elements and some teen smoking.
What it's about: A small town in Iowa is about to lose its school, and its legendary high school baseball program.
The Kid Attractor Factor: A pretty good depiction of small-town high schools, and Michael Angarano plays the city punk who has to learn to fit in with the "hicks."
Good lessons/bad lessons: "Even the easy things are tough if you do them half-hearted."
Violence: Boys being boys.
Language: Unnecessary roughness. It stands out as inappropriate, at times.
Sex: Just a little aw-shucks Iowa flirting.
Drugs: A marijuana joke, and ...
