Cooler water could create warming trend for anglers.

DALLAS _ A rainy spring and summer produced unusually slow fishing at many Dallas-area lakes, but experts predict improved action with cooler water temperatures. October and November are traditionally excellent fishing months, and this year should be better than normal.

"This has been a very unusual year," said Bruce Hysmith, a veteran Texas Parks and Wildlife fisheries biologist. "Most of our lakes had very low water when the spring rains began. The lakes caught a lot of water, and that's what caused the fishing to slow.
