Oct. 10--Groups that sell malt beverages at the Brown County Fair could have a choice of brands to peddle next year.
In the past, contracts with the Aberdeen Area Boys & Girls Club and Aberdeen Hockey Association have basically locked those groups into selling particular brands, Kim Dorsett, Brown County state's attorney, said. That probably shouldn't have happened, she said.
The county commission or fair board can recommend to those groups what brands to sell but can't dictate it, she said.
Another option would be taking bids for an exclusive vendor at the fair, Dorsett said.
