Callahan talks about 'issues'.

Oct. 10--LINCOLN -- Same as every Tuesday, Nebraska coach Bill Callahan arrived right at noon, sat at the black table with the giant red N behind him, and clipped on his microphone as tape recorders collected in front of him.

Then Callahan, in almost the equivalent of a change of possessions, took to the offensive rather than some of his usual defensiveness with reporters.

Callahan went directly into comments about how the Huskers "hurt as a football team." He addressed issues surrounding their play. He spoke of an urgency for NU to change its fortunes -- and fast.
