Oct. 10--VICTORVILLE -- A 31-year-old man was in court Tuesday for allegedly slitting a woman's throat, beating her and leaving her for dead in the desert.
Michael Allan Thompson is charged with attempted murder; kidnapping to commit forced oral copulation; oral copulation by force; torture, mayhem, assault with intent to commit mayhem, assault with intent to commit forcible oral copulation; and two counts of sexual penetration with a foreign object.
Deputy District Attorney Karen Michaels said there are also deadly-weapon enhancements as well as enhancements for inflicting great bodily injury.
If convicted, Thompson could face life in prison ...
