3M's foreign focus includes jobs: Company tells investors it wants to lower its tax liabilities.

Oct. 10--3M's plan to move its manufacturing operations closer to its hottest international growth markets is well underway.

As the effort continues, though, some technical and business-operation jobs will make the move as well.

At an investors' conference on 3M's Maplewood campus Tuesday, several executives talked about the company's international growth strategy and what it means.
