Oct. 10--Thirteen-year-old Jassmine Adams was sleeping when a car going 80 to 90 mph plowed into the rear of her family's Oldsmobile Ciera in June 2006.
When she opened her eyes, chaos reigned.
Her cousin "Devyn was bleeding from her head," Jassmine testified Tuesday in Ramsey County District Court. "My brother was on top of the seat. My dad was flat. And my grandpa was shaking."
Did you try to talk to them? prosecutor Derek Fitch asked.
"Yes," Jassmine said.
"Did anyone answer you?"
"No," Jassmine said, her voice cracking.
