Oct. 10--A year of frustration officially ended Tuesday for defensive end Darrion Scott.
The Vikings' sack leader in 2006, Scott lamented the lowest tender offered by the Vikings during the offseason, and he lost his bid to start at left defensive end to Kenechi Udeze during training camp.
On Monday, Scott broke a bone in his left foot that will require a pin, agent Tim DiPiero said.
"It was one of those freak things," DiPiero said. "He might get a second opinion. But the bottom line is he's out for the year. This is real disappointing. It's his free-agent year. It's just too bad."
