Oct. 10--It's not unusual for speakers to ask local church members to pray for their programs and volunteers.
Joe Swann's request carried a little extra urgency Tuesday night. He asked the Daviess-McLean Baptist Association members at their annual meeting to pray for 300 or so teenagers and chaperones. They are coming here from across the country June 7-14 to climb on roofs and work with power tools.
"Granted, they're not all expert carpenters," said Swann, who helps coordinate the World Changers program for the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention.
