Oct. 10--BLUEFIELD, Va. -- Yogi Berra lied. It was over before it was over.

Blacksburg's reign continued Tuesday, but a mid-afternoon rain kept Bruins junior Courtney Ellenbogen from winning the individual title in the VHSL Group AA golf championship at Fincastle Country Club.

Ellenbogen shot a 66 on Tuesday that almost certainly would have given her the state crown with a two-day total of 138, but the second round was shortened to just nine official holes for all competitors because of the lightning and rain that hit the par-70 course at approximately 2:45 p.m.
