Oct. 10--HIGH POINT -- A High Point physician surrendered his license to practice medicine to the N.C. Medical Board on Aug. 24.
Dr. Pete Matibag Sarmiento, 42, a physician specializing in internal medicine with Bethany Medical Center on Skeet Club Road, voluntarily gave up his license, according to the state medical board's Web site.
The High Point Enterprise was unable to learn why Sarmiento surrendered hismedical license. "I understand that the surrender of my license does not preclude the board from bringing charges against me at a later date," stated the voluntary surrender form submitted to the board Aug. 24.
