Acting city attorney: City Council appoints temporary Long replacement; briefly addresses issue.

Oct. 10--Following an executive session of a little more than an hour Tuesday, Odessa City Council named LeeAnn Rymer as acting city attorney while City Attorney Larry Long serves a 30-day unpaid suspension.

Then Mayor Larry Melton issued a statement for the city council, indicating another city employee had "filed a complaint against Long."

Melton said an investigation was conducted and that in addition to his 30-day suspension, Long will be required to take 10 hours of "sensitivity training."
