Early voting begins Oct. 18.

Oct. 10--In the past, voters had to register for an election 25 days before. But thanks to a new law, procrastinators will have a second chance.

While the official deadline to register for the Nov. 6 election is Friday, the new law passed this summer allows voters to register and vote early at the same time during the state's one-stop absentee voting process.

The one-stop voting allows voters to go to the polls as early as 19 days before Election Day. This year, the early voting period begins Oct. 18 and ends Nov. 3.
