Oct. 10--Fittingly, the skies in New Schaefferstown began growing ominously darker late in the afternoon as storm clouds pushed their way into the area.

Tuesday's quad-meet at Tulpehocken was supposed to help clarify the Berks cross country picture entering next week's conference run. But that picture is as clouded as ever, thanks to some upsets.

In the boys race, Conrad Weiser stunned the Trojans on their home course 25-33 en route to an impressive quad-meet sweep. The Scouts are now the favorites for next week, though that label has been passed around this fall like Kenny Lofton.
