Oct. 10--Zooming around a dirt track at more than 100 mph is not where most people would expect to find a school principal, but the Hamburg School District has two principals who have been there and done that -- and one of them is still doing it.

Shawn L. Fitzpatrick and R. Kenneth Buck share a passion for racing, although they have found different ways of indulging their zeal for the sport.

Fitzpatrick, 32, the principal at Hamburg and Perry elementary schools, competes in the 358-modified class, racing cars powered by original equipment engines ranging between 340 and 360 cubic inches.
