Presque Isle: Incumbents look to keep seats.

Oct. 10--PRESQUE ISLE, Maine -- Two incumbents are seeking to retain their seats on the Presque Isle City Council, and six people face no opposition on Nov. 6 in their quests to sit in various seats on the SAD 1 school board, City Clerk Nancy Nichols said Tuesday.

Incumbents G. Melvin Hovey and Donald Gardner are on the ballot to keep their seats on the City Council.

Six people are running unopposed to represent six sections on the SAD 1 board. All have previous experience serving on the school committee.

Nancy E. Cronkite is on the ballot to represent Section 6, while Barbara F. Ladner wants to represent Section 8.
