OCU team getting feet wet.

Oct. 10--When Hally Hames came to Oklahoma from Sydney, Australia, her knowledge of the Sooner state was limited to a movie and basic geography.

"I had heard of Oklahoma via that movie, 'Twister,' but outside of that all I knew was it was in the middle of America," the 23-year-old Hames said.

Hames is a charter member of Oklahoma City University's new women's sculling program. Sculling is a form of rowing in which participants have an oar in each hand, often in two- or four-man crews.
