Oct. 10--NORMAN -- The Second Stage Players -- a group of five men and women older than 55 -- will open its first production at 7 p.m. Friday at the Norman Depot, 200 S Jones Ave.
The performance will include a one-act comedy and an old-time radio show. Also on the program is "Voices of America," a dramatic reading by Jerry Hargis.
Formed for senior adults who are interested in theater arts activities, the group comprises coordinator/director Ina St. John and members Sharon Moody, Ronda Tarver, Buz St. John and Barbara Couch. Most of them met while participating in workshops offered through the Performing Arts Studio, Moody said.
