Oct. 10--NORMAN -- Nancy McClellan may have put her personal artistic pursuits aside years ago, but that hasn't stopped her from opening the door for thousands of others, whether they are performers, painters or simply lovers of art.
For the past 20 years McClellan has been promoting the arts in Norman, both as a paid employee and as volunteer. Those efforts haven't gone unnoticed, as she's been named the Person of the Year in Arts and Humanities by the Norman Arts Council. McClellan will accept the honor during the Norman Chamber of Commerce's Fall Arts Luncheon, set for 11:30 a.m. today at the University of Oklahoma's Molly Shi Boren Ballroom ...
