Oct. 10--The Mark II Family Restaurant chain has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, which will allow them to keep two locations open while they work to restore the company's finances.
The family-owned business's Wilkes-Barre Township Boulevard, Wilkes-Barre Township, and Route 309, Dallas, restaurants will continue to operate through the reorganization process. Its Kidder Street, Wilkes-Barre, location closed in 2006 and its U.S. Route 11, Edwardsville, site shut down Sept. 30, said owner Bernie Sult.
